| About Mattapan Tech's Hybrid Programs |
| Mattapan Tech's hybrid educational approach combines textbook reading, an instructor-led online classroom, and hands-on on-site learning. Students will attend class once every two weeks in a conventional classroom for testing and lab.The hybrid program allows students to overcome geographic, social and time constraints, they can study at their own pace, at the location of their choice (home, work or library), with very limited face-to-face contact. While this is a more flexible learning experience, all students are still expected to spend at least 40 hours mandatory hands-on practice in a conventional lab or work environment for each course. Students are also required to take quizzes and participate in online forum. |
| The hybrid program is designed with the goal to provide alternative means of high quality education and training for those who either cannot take conventional, campus-based programs, or choose not to. There is no difference between the curriculum for our conventional instructor-led program and our live instructor- led hybrid program program. |

| FYI: Mattapan Tech's Computer And Network Technical Support Specialist/ CompTIA A+ students must complete two mandatory courses: Computer Hardware And Network Technology, CompTIA A+ Core 1, 220-1001 and Computer And Network Software Technology, Core 2, 220-1002. We also prepare our students to take the CompTIA A+ certification exams. These courses can be taken in any order, you can take either core 1 or cor 2 first or both at the same time. |

To register for a class, all potential students need one goverment issued ID ( US or Foreign government passport , Driver's license or local government issued ID card). Students older than 22 need a credit card and two references. Youth residing in Massachusetts are entitled to take any class completely free. Out-of -state youth 16-22 may submit a fee waiver application. |

CompTIA Project+ is designed to teach business professionals and individuals how to plan, monitor or manage projects. We also prepare our students to take and pass the Computing Technology Industry Association's certification. The exam certifies the knowledge and skills required to manage the project life cycle, ensure appropriate, communication, manage resources, manage stakeholders, and maintain project documentation.
This program covers the following topics:
- The fundamental of Projects – Project phases, project scheduling, project roles and responsibilities, project cost controls and the basic aspects of agile methodology
- Project Constraint: Identify the impact of different variables and influences throughout the project and risk identification and management
- Communication: The different method of communication and change control processes
- The project management tools.
The Mattapan Tech Project Management is a live instructor-led distance learnin program, student will have on-line studies and class will meet with their teacher for lab and testing.

| CompTIA Security+ is a security certification highly recommended to all IT professionals. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role. The certification emphasizes the practical and hands-on ability to both identify and address security threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities. Class meets every morning from 9:30an to 12-noon, from Monday to Wednesday. |

| MS Office Specialist |
The MTLC’s Office Specialist Program is designed to prepare individuals to become office managers and administrative assistants that exhibit notable leadership skills in addition to the ability to perform daily responsibilities using MS Office products. Students receive training in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Access. In order to boost their management capabilities, they also learn skills including problem solving, decision making and planning, meeting management, delegating work, communication and time management.
This program consists of 32-weeks of studies that includes: PowerPoint & Word, Excel & Word, Access Database. In addition, students in the office specialist program must take Technical writing and team building. |
